IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COVID-19

UPDATE 4TH SEPTEMBER 2020

Royal Randwick Shopping Centre has been advised of two customers who recently visited Fitness First Randwick on separate occasions and have both tested positive to COVID-19.

Centre Management has been in contact with Fitness First and this has been confirmed by NSW Health. The customers visited the Centre and used the gym facilities on 23rd August through to 1st September.

As NSW Health have classified the two customers as confirmed Covid-19 cases, their advice is:
  1. Anyone who visited the weights room at the gym between 3:30pm to 4:15pm on Sunday 23 August is considered a close contact and is required to immediately get tested for COVID-19 and self-isolate for 14 days until 6 September.
  2. Anyone who attended Fitness First Randwick between Sunday 23 August and Tuesday 1 September should monitor for symptoms and if they develop, get tested right away and self-isolate.

In response, Royal Randwick Shopping Centre and Fitness First Randwick carried out a deep clean of the gym and the centre on Sunday 30th August and again on Thursday 3rd September as a precaution. All stores in the Centre including Fitness First are currently open and operating as usual.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Royal Randwick is closely monitoring COVID-19 and the advice of state and national health authorities in relation to infectious diseases.

Following recent government announcements, we are pleased to advise that many of our retailers are open and trading. Royal Randwick has remained open throughout this period to provide essential services to the community and while the health and safety of everyone who visits the centre remains our priority, we are pleased to see many retailers open.

We are working hard to ensure a visit to Royal Randwick remains a safe and welcoming experience. We have remained diligent in our cleaning processes and through our service providers, we have placed additional focus on key areas such as hard surfaces and bathrooms and all AMP Capital managed assets have facilities in place to support our customers and tenants to practise good hygiene, such as hand sanitisers. We’ve also increased signage and security to ensure physical distancing and other government measures continue to be observed by everyone.

Our stores have signs at entry points to instruct customers not to enter if they are unwell or have COVID19 symptoms. Each business has the right to refuse service and must insist that anyone with these symptoms leaves the premises. Where practically possible, retailers have set up separate exit and entry points to minimise contact.

Beauty services are also open with strict COVIDSafe measures in place. Please click here for a list of beauty services open.

We can all help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Australia. To protect others and when visiting the centre you must:
